ABOUT LINDSEY

Founder & Trial Attorney

Lindsey Cheek founded The Cheek Law Firm LLC in 2015 after building extensive trial and litigation experience with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and a nationally recognized asbestos and mass tort plaintiffs’ litigation firm.

Ms. Cheek has represented hundreds of individuals and families in Louisiana and across the country and has secured more than $100 million in settlements and verdicts on behalf of her clients. She has extensive experience in complex litigation, toxic torts, asbestos and mesothelioma claims, talc-related litigation, environmental matters, and other high-stakes civil cases.

Known for her Louisiana jury trial experience, Ms. Cheek has tried numerous cases to verdict and has earned a reputation for handling challenging and complex litigation. Her work has included representing victims of asbestos exposure, mesothelioma, lung cancer, and other serious injuries, as well as representing entities and municipalities in environmental matters.

The majority of the firm’s practice focuses on representing individuals and families who have been harmed in Louisiana. In addition to litigating throughout Louisiana, Ms. Cheek has handled matters in jurisdictions across the country, including Texas, Mississippi, Florida, California, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Washington, Utah, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Puerto Rico, and South Carolina.

Ms. Cheek is a peer-elected member of the Louisiana State Bar Association Board of Governors and serves on the LSBA Ethics Advisory Committee. She has been an Adjunct Faculty Professor in Tulane Law School’s Trial Advocacy Program since 2015, mentors law students, has published in legal and bar journals, and is frequently invited to speak at national conferences on trial advocacy, jury trials, asbestos and mesothelioma litigation, mass torts, law firm management, and women in the legal profession.
