Asbestos Products
What are asbestos-containing materials?
Asbestos-containing materials are any products that include asbestos fibers, which were commonly used in construction and various industries for their fire resistance, durability, and insulating properties. Asbestos is a group of naturally occurring minerals that can be separated into thin, durable threads. These fibers are resistant to heat, fire, chemicals, and do not conduct electricity, making them ideal for many applications.
Unfortunately, when asbestos-containing materials are disturbed or damaged, asbestos fibers can be released into the air. When these fibers are inhaled, it can significantly impact an individuals' health years later.
